The Woodruff Memorial Library is pleased to offer La Junta readers:  BookBrowse.  

Using your library card, you can find: 

  • Reading Suggestions: Look up any book you have enjoyed and find suggestions for other books with a similar theme or style.
  • Search for books by time period, country of setting and a wide range of themes such as mystery set in Africa, strong-female lead set in 18th century, or any of the other 4,000+ combinations!
  • Get advice on starting and running a book discussion group, plus over 500 printable discussion guides. In addition, your library can contact BookBrowse's roster of selected authors and invite them to chat with their book club by telephone.
  • Access more than 1,700 books with excerpts, over 1,200 author biographies, hundreds of author interviews and reading guides, and more than 15,000 reviews.
  • BookBrowse Recommends: (usually twice/month) Find in-depth commentaries on the newly recommended books.
  • BookBrowse Previews: Each month you can read previews and ratings for 50-80 high profile books to be published the following month.
