Library Loan Policies

Loan of Materials

For patron protection, a valid library card or picture ID is required to use a library account.

Patron Loan Limits

All cards are limited to a maximum of 50 items at any one time.  During school assignments non-fiction items in one category, such as encyclopedias or material on any particular subject, may be limited to two (2) items per card at any one time.

Material Loan Limits

  • 7-Day Loan
New Adult fiction with less than 450 pages
  • Library Use Only
    Reference materials
    Newspapers
    Current issues of magazines
    Microfilm
    Genealogy materials
    CD-ROM software
    Equipment
  • All other materials are a 2-week loan period.

Renewals

  • Materials may be renewed once EXCEPT interlibrary loan items
  • Renewals may be made by phone, e-mail, or fax
  • Items that are on hold/reserve may not be renewed

Holds

  • Holds/reserves may be placed on any library materials with the following exceptions:
     Reference materials
     Interlibrary loan items
