Library Card Basics

Three account types are available to meet the needs of differing situations.  Individual adult or juvenile cards, or  family cards giving authorized users total access to the account, may be obtained.

  • All applicants (Adult, Juvenile, Family) for a Woodruff Memorial Library borrower's card must register in person via an application form.
  • Adult patrons are defined as everyone 18 years old or older.  Juvenile patrons are everyone from birth up to and including 17 years old.  Family patrons are members of the same household using one patron card number.
  • Picture ID, proof of age, and current address is required to receive a library card.
  • The application form must be completed in full, including street address for patrons with PO box numbers, and must be signed.
  • Juvenile patrons (anyone under 18 years of age) must have application card signed by parent or legal guardian.  The parent or legal gaurdian must be present and must present appropriate ID.
  • Family cards must have application card signed by a responsible adult of the household.  The parent or legal guardian must be present and present appropriate ID for juveniles to be included on the Family card.

Acceptable Forms of Address Verification

  • Driver's License with current address
  • State issued ID with current address
  • Current utility bill
  • Current mail

Card will be mailed if address verification is needed.
